MarketPlace Monitor: Amazon continues to grow in The Netherlands
The MarketPlace Monitor, the quarterly survey by marketplace specialists Maze-One and MeMo², shows that bol.com remains the most attractive sales platform in The Netherlands in the fourth quarter of 2020. Amazon.com is showing growth in popularity and the forecast is that this will only increase in the coming months.
Amazon search queries in lockdown
Many countries are currently in lockdown, which means that people are working from home and stores are closed. For Amazon it means changes in sales and prioritize certain categories. By the search terms in Amazon* we see that certain categories and products are extremely popular. Therefore, we as the marketplace specialist advise our clients to run regular search reports, because it changes rapidly and from a business point of view it offers sales opportunities.
Amazon plans Sweden launch
Amazon’s plan to launch in Sweden opens great opportunities, not only for Swedish consumers and companies but the entire Nordic region. When the Swedish version of Amazon will be ready has still not been revealed. Only Amazon knows, but it is most likely it will open this year.
