How it works
Two roads to success
Zalando offers two ways for brands to sell their products:
- via conventional wholesale business, where Zalando acts as the retailer;
- by signing up to Zalando’s Partner Program: the marketplace model.
You can also connect a brand store (offline) to the Zalando platform for additional inventory. Commission is a percentage (5-25%) of the sales price, depending on the product category and price.
A very fashionable partner
The Zalando Partner Program currently gives over 650 brands and retailers direct access to 17 European markets and some 45 million active consumers*. Brands integrate their articles and stock directly into the Zalando Fashion Store, retaining full control over assortment, price and brand representation. Brands that meet Zalando’s requirements can join its Partner Program via their website. A Zalando consultant guides you through the administrative set-up. To enable its future growth ambitions, Zalando is expanding its European logistics network, with five new fulfillment centers planned by 2023. Centres in Rotterdam and Madrid go live this year, while construction of the other three in France, Germany and Poland will kick off in the next 12 months.
